Mike Higgins leaves Geelong Hospital after having his minor shark bite wound treated.

Mike Higgins, 42, was surfing with friends when he felt the shark brush against him in the water. It then bit his foot his foot and let go.

“It had a little bite then let go after a couple of seconds. I was pretty scared,” he told the press.

The incident took place around 10am on 12 June 2012 off Port Campbell on Victoria’s south east coast, Australia.

A friend took him to Geelong Hospital where he was treated for a small gash, and later discharged.

It was not reported what type of shark it was.
